No more DTC for Magnussen and Team Bauhaus
Team Bauhaus has announced that they are only going to take part in the Scandinavian Touring Car Cup races for the rest of this year, excluding the Danish Touring Car Championship races.
“We are returning to the original plan with Jan Magnussen, one car and the Scandinavian Touring Car Cup,” said teamboss Kent Steffensen to Racemag.dk.
The reason for the withdrawal from the Danish series is the lack of results in Gothenburg and budget.
“If we would have scored a lot of points in Sweden, then we might have continued. But Jan has got a lot of zero’s which is making it a bit tough for the championship. If we are supposed to win DTC, we need to have our sponsors on the idea. But it is sad that it has developed in this way,” said Steffensen.
But team boss Steffensen is not ruling out an eventual return to DTC later on this season.
“If we can find the money, we might return for the remaining DTC races,” said Steffensen.
The next planned race for the team is at Jyllandsringen in Denmark on the 4/5th of September with the Scandinavian Touring Car Cup.
