Robert Dahlgren remains on top in Gothenburg
No one could match Robert Dahlgren in the two test sessions of the Swedish and Danish Touring Car Championship test sessions in Gothenburg today. The Volvo-driver lapped the track in 47.185, a time that was 0.346 seconds quicker than his closest rival and team mate Tommy Rustad.
Mattias Andersson was best non-Volvo driver in third, lapping the track in 47.841.
Richard Göransson was best BMW driver in fourth, seven tenths off Dahlgren’s time, just two thousands of a second faster than Fredrik Ekblom in the bio-gas powered Volkswagen Scirocco.
Jan Magnussen was best Danish driver in sixth ahead of Flash Engineering-driver Thed Björk.
Johan Stureson, Jan “Flash” Nilsson and Patrik Olsson rounded off top ten.
The test session went on without incidents. The day tomorrow starts with the final test session at 09.00 CET, followed by qualifying at 10.40 and the first race at 13.30.
