No Hartmann Honda Racing in Gothenburg

There will be no Hartmann Racing Honda Accord’s in Gothenburg this weekend. The team had entered two cars, one for the Swede Tomas Engström.
“I found out today. If the announcement had come earlier we would have been able to start up our own car, but now we are too short of time,” said Engström.

Team boss Hans Hartmann crashed during DTC qualifying at Padborg a couple of weeks ago and stated that they do not want to risk further damage in the street race of Gothenburg.

“We are not coming, one of our cars is not ready and we do not want to risk the second. I think that it is going to be a “new Marrakech,” said Hartmann to racemag.dk, referring to the recent chaotic WTCC city race in Morocco.

The team will be back for the next DTC race at Jyllandsringen on the 20th of june.
