Tarquini leads First Practice

Championship leader Tarquini sets the fastest time in first practice at his home track in the SEAT León TDI.

Andy Priaulx, unable to set a time yesterday after a brake problem, bounced back this morning to go second fastest in the BMW 320si, while team mate Farfus was sixth.

Franz Engstler was the fastest independent, but not all things are going the way of Engstler Motorsport, as an engine change for Andrei Romanov means the Russian will drop ten places on the grid.

Michael Nykjaer was the top rookie, 8th fastest in his SUNRED Engineering SEAT.

Rob Huff was top of the Chevrolet’s in fourth, whilst newcomer Leonel Pernía found another second since yesterday’s test to set 16th fastest.
