The Chevrolet Cruze has arrived in Sweden

Chevrolet Team Sweden has taken delivery of their new Chevrolet Cruze that Viktor Hallrup is going to drive in the Swedish Touring Car Championship 2010.
“It is great fun that the car is at home at last and I cannot say anything else than that it is a very well built and cool car,” said team boss Nicklas Karlsson.

While the Cruze is new, it is not the car they are going to use for the remainder of the season. As the STCC season is only two weeks away, the team has taken delivery of the fourth car of the World Touring Car Championship Chevrolet team.

The new car to be used for the rest of the STCC season is going to be delivered for the third STCC race of 2010 at Gelleråsen on the 21/22nd of May.

“This is a good decision as the factory can calmly build our car and we can start the season with a ready car,” said Karlsson.

Chevrolet factory driver Rob Huff completed the shakedown of the car before it was loaded and shipped to Sweden. The team is going to be at the first official STCC test of the year at Gelleråsen on thursday.
