Hoffsten confirms Alfa Romeo for 2010

Claes Hoffsten is going to remain in the Semcon Cup of the Swedish Touring Car Championship in 2010.
“We are aiming to fight hard in Semcon Cup with our hot Alfa Romeo,” said Hoffsten on his webpage.

Hoffsten is aiming to put a serious challenge in the privateers championship Semcon Cup this year.

“We have a new engine, dampers and a proper portion of experience. These are the reasons why we are seriously going to fight for the overall win in Semcon Cup,” said Hoffsten.

One of the new “weapons” for Hoffsten in 2010 is a brand new engine from Italy, that he claims is going to give 30 extra horsepowers.

“After the engine broke in the final last season, we chose Motori Tecnica and their race department in Italy to build a new engine.

The new one is going to be upgraded to the 2010 model which should give around 30 bhp extra compared to the old one,” said Hoffsten.
