Full WTCC entry list announced
The FIA have confirmed the full entry list for this year’s World Touring Car Championship. The last minute announcement this morning of a four car squad for the SR-Sport team, who will run diesel powered SEAT León’s bumps the grid size for the first round.
The entrylist now confirms 20 cars will start this year’s WTCC, with a healthy spread of manufacturers, including 8 BMW’s, 7 SEAT’s & 5 Chevrolet’s (3 Cruze’s, 2 Lacetti’s).
SEAT therefore maintain a strong presence, despite the manufacturer’s withdrawal as an official entry. The only manufacturer to now fully leave the grid is Lada.
KSO has expressed disappointment in Lada’s withdrawal, and states the FIA will be looking into this matter.
