Lada hoping for good results in Japan

The Lada team is hoping to pick up on the good results at Imola, where they scored their first point ever, as the WTCC heads to the penultimate round at Okayama in Japan.
“Our speed has been improving with every race and I hope we can continue like this in Okayama,” said driver Jaap Van Lagen.

Touring car ace James Thompson was the man behind the first ever WTCC points for Lada at Imola but the Brit is cautious ahead of the Japanese round.

“There’s still a long way to go but step by step we’re getting there. Japan is a difficult track and there’s a risk of bad weather as well.

Under these circumstances absolutely anything can happen, so we will be aiming to make the most of any opportunities that come our way over the course of the weekend,” said Thompson.
