Ekstrom takes pole, Paffett alongside

Mattias Ekstrom has claimed pole position for the last race of the season at Hockenheim, and will have the Mercedes championship contender Gary Paffett alongside him for the race.

Points leader, Audi’s Timo Scheider will be right behind in third place, whilst Paffett’s ‘wingman’, Di Resta completes the top four.

Danish driver Tom Kristensen will start fifth in his final DTM race.

The closeness of the championship rivals in the top four means we’re on for a thrilling race tomorrow.

However, with Scheider holding a seven point lead over Paffett – Scheider’s well placed to earn a second consecutive title failing any problems in the race.
