Team Telesikring confirms Pedersen

Tom Pedersen had to retire from racing in the Danish Touring Car Championship, when the KP Racing Mercedes suffered yet another blown engine in august. Now he will return as replacement driver for the Team Telesikring at the final DTC race, instead of John Nielsen. Pedersen drove for the team back in 2008, racking up a fifth place in the championship.

“Last time I had to jump into one of the cars, “team boss Peter Ager explains. “But this time we have made an agreement with Tom Pedersen, to drive for us.”

”I am really looking forward to drive the BMW again,” Tom Pedersen explains.

“Because it drives really well, even though it will not be as easy as you might think. We have started the preparations a bit late, so I haven’t really considered my chances. But I hope that I still can keep up. I would love to do a great job, but it will not be easy.”

Pedersen will drive the same car as he did last year, but without any testing free practice Saturday morning will be the first chance to drive the car since last 2008.

“We have been looking at the setup, which John Nielsen used earlier this year. And compared it with the setup I used. We know that we have a setup which worked for us last year, and this will be the setup we will use to begin with, added with a few changes which I have thought about during the winter. But I will take it easy.”
