Kasper Jensen taken out by Jens Møller
Danish Touringcar Championship privateer driver Kasper Jensen had a great weekend at Ring Djursland, until fellow privateer driver, Jens Møller, took him out at the end of the straight. An incident quite like the one seen in STCC at Knutstorp, between Thed Björk and Tommy Rustad.
“When they told us to take care of each other in the drivers briefing, I can’t understand how he could get away with such driving methods”, Kasper Jensen said.
The race officials gave no immediate penalty to Møller, but when JM Racing presented their onboard footage of the crash, they saw no other options but to penalize the Seat Leon driver with a yellow card.
After the incident, Jens Møller said to DTC-Net.dk: “To be honest, I was getting tired of looking at the yellow BMW.”
Afterwards, also Kasper Jensen got a yellow card after punching the engineer of Jens Møller on the arm. “I told his mechanic, that I wasn’t satisfied with what happened on the track, and finished off by padding him on the upper arm. A gesture that might not have signaled “Well done”, he said.
