Another weight change

DTC A/S, the organization behind the Danish Touringcar Championship, stated that they did not expect further changes in the weights for the rest of the 2009 season. Today, the weights have been changed again, “due to the points scored in this season and the results of the Ring Djursland race”.

The BMW 320si E90 cars must add five kilos to their base weights, while Chevrolet Motorsport Danmark and Hartmann Honda Racing can take out 15 and 5 kilos respectively from their cars.

According to DTC-Net.dk, the weights are now like they were in the third and fourth race weekends of this season, where the Chevrolet and Honda teams were dominant.

The sudden change has not been further explained by the DTC, but with Jan Magnussen winning the last two races, this might lead to a very exciting last race of the season on Jyllandsringen in a few weeks.
