Seven out of eight poles for Dahlgren
Robert Dahlgren held his promise from ahead of the race that he was going to equal the pole position record of Jan “Flash” Nilsson. The Volvo driver has been on pole in all but one races this season.
“It is always nice to be quickest, “Flash” has had a fantastic run and it feels extra nice to have caught up with him,” said Dahlgren.
The Volvo driver took pole with two tenths ahead of championship leader Thed Björk.
“I am so pleased, the lap was almost perfect,” said Björk, who is carrying 55 kilos of penalty weight.
Behind the top two the times were really close, a mere seven hundredths of a second separated third to fifth.
Reigning champion Richard Göransson took third, right ahead of Tommy Rustad and Jan “Flash” Nilsson.
Mattias Andersson claimed sixth ahead of Tomas Engström. WestCoast Racing driver Robin Rudholm took the final Q2 position, eight.
The first race starts at 13.00 CET, followed by the second race at 15.30.
