Anthony Reid: “Results not what I hoped for”

Anthony Reid made his first British Touring Car Championship appearance since 2004 for Team RAC during the races at Silverstone.
“It’s a great feeling to be back behind the wheel in the BTCC again,” said Reid.

Unfortunately for Reid, his BTCC return at Silverstone ended in something far from a success:

Zero points, a damaged car, a 250 £ fine and three points on his racing licence after a high speed shunt with Tom Onslow-Cole.

“The results are not quite what I would have hoped for, but I’ve been amazed at the support I’ve received from Team RAC and the fans,” said Reid.

It has not been confirmed officially yet if Reid is going to do any more races for Team RAC this year. But Reid is seemingly focused on continuing.

“It’s been great racing with Colin and Stephen and hopefully I can be more competitive next time around,” said Reid.
