Michael Outzen back in DTC?

Former independents champion Michael Outzen is working to join the two last rounds of the Danish Touringcar Championship. 27-year old Outzen, who races a Phoenix Racing Audi R8 in the German ADAC GT Masters championship this year, has been looking for a seat in the DTC all season without luck.

In a press release today, the Dane says that he is trying to get a seat for the remaining two races of this season.

“I love DTC for its intense fights that the championship is so well known
for and I hope to find a solution so I can join the grid”, he says.

Taking a look at the current DTC-grid, there are several options for the former independents champion. Team Telesikring have one of their BMW 320si E90 available after John Nielsen left the team.

With James Thompson not competing in the next race at Ring Djursland due to his Australian V8 series contract, Hartmann Honda Racing could also be a possible solution.

As Outzen is a “rear wheel drive racer”, the best guess would be to see him in the orange Team Telesikring BMW 320si E90 alongside Joachim Stephansen.
