Fontana claims pole for Toyota

Norberto Fontana has claimed pole position for the Bueno Aires 200km endurance event in his Toyota Team Argentina prepared Corolla. Fontana will share the car with Brazilian Ricardo Mauricio during the race.

“I am very happy. We’ve solved some problems that the car had in the recent tests at Cabalén, and we arrived here with high expectations because we knew that we were in good shape but could not confirm it until the car went on to the track”

The Renault driver pairing of Matías Rossi & Thiago Camilo qualified second, with last years winning pairing of Jose Maria Lopez and Anthony Reid putting the Equipo Petrobras Honda Civic in third.

Alain Menu will start 15th in his Chevrolet Astra, shared with Guillermo Ortelli.
