Warm up with approaching rain

Anxious glances to the sky, replaced anxious glances onto the track. Rain has been threatening the fourth round of the Danish Touring Car Championship at Padborg Park. A grey clouded sky and promises of rain in the finale at 17.00 o’clock makes for tension in the pits.

Honda showed their metal, showing their power in the 15 minute long session with a 1-2 lead, James Thompson leading Per Poulsen. Most cars went for the last setup changes and laps in race setup.

Padborg seems to hold onto the title as front wheel drive country, the first BMW was far down the ranks in sixth spot, where youngster Joachim Stephansen was placed.

The fastest man out there was once again Thompson in his Hartmann Honda Accord. The lap time was 1.01,477, again with a lead of three tenths of a second to teammate Poulsen.

Chevrolet driver Henrik Lundgaard was in third, followed by Jason Watt in fourth and Michel Nykjær in fifth.

Invitation Only was lead on by Martin Marrill in twelfth spot. Peugeot 407 S2000 privateer Michael Carlsen had problems, fighting on from fourteenth spot, 3,4 seconds from the lead.

Heat one will start at 12.05.
