Gordon Shedden returns with Team CVR
Team CVR today confirmed that Gordon Shedden is going to return to the British Touring Car Championship with them. The 30 year old Scot was left out in the cold earlier this season as he had his contract with Team Dynamics terminated.
“I was approached by Colin (team boss) very recently and things have moved fast to this point,” said Shedden.
Shedden is going to drive the SEAT Léon along side Adam Jones already this weekend at Snetterton.
“We all understand it will be a challenging weekend and I will ahve to get used to the race characteristics of the car, although there are obvious similarities from what I have driven previously this season,” said Shedden.
Team boss Colin Neill is pleased to have signed the fellow Scotsman.
“Gordon is a great guy, I have him a call and we talked through some ideas and a few days later he is part of the team, it has all happened very quickly,” said Neill.
Shedden replaces Dan Eaves in the team and team boss Neill explains.
“We have spoken with him and although disappointed he understands the situation, he has made a significant contribution to the team over the past 18 months or so and will continue to do so.”
