Jonathan Adam looking for points at Croft
Airwaves BMW driver and British Touring Car Championship newcomer Jonathan Adam is looking to get his first three points scoring finishes for the season at Croft.
“I’m really settling in to driving the BMW 320si now and I think I showed good pace in the last round at Oulton Park. I want to take that momentum to Croft, and it’s a circuit I’ve enjoyed driving any time I’ve competed there in the past so I’m confident I can do that,” said Adam.
Adam is currently ninth in the championship, with 16 points being his best score of the season.
“I really want to put together three points-scoring finishes, as for various reasons that hasn’t happened this season.
Both Rob [Collard] and I have shown we have the pace to win races, but it’s so close out there this season that you really have to fight for the points and make sure you finish more than anything,” said Adam.
While Adam currently is 70 points from the championship lead, he thinks he can move up the standings after Croft.
“There’s not a lot between everyone in the championship standings and a few points here and there can move you up quickly if some else has a bad day.
Croft is one of the closer circuits to home for me so it’s not far to travel and I will be right up for it on race day.”
