The 2009 DTC season breaks cover

The Danish Touring Car Championship has broken its cover for the 2009 season. TouringCarTimes.com is present at the first DTC test at FDM Jyllandsringen, supplying news and photos. Martin Jensen is rumoured to be confirmed at Alternative Engineering on Monday.

Alternative Engineering featuring Jan Magnussen will officially launch the team on Monday at a press meeting, stating its future after the DBA era.

Touringcartimes.com has learned that Martin Jensen will be confirmed as the second driver at the event.

Also present at the test is the four Invitation-Only drivers, and newly confirmed Jens Møller at FDM Motorsport, partnering team owner Casper Elgaard in the former Sturup Raceway Leon´s.

Tom Pedersen will drive the KP Motorsport Mercedes C200, sporting a new engine tuner as the car lacked power at the debut last year, driven by German Andreas Ziggel. The former DBA Toyota Corolla T-Sport featured the biggest surprise, raced in the Special Salooncar Challenge for a couple of years the car is now back in the DTC, with former gokart/crosskart driver Teddy Kugelberg Pedersen.

Joachim Stephansen was scheduled for the second Team Telesikring BMW, but at present he has not been seen at the test this weekend, the car being driven by team owner Peter Ager.
