First drawings of the new Lada

The first drawings of the new Lada Priora has been revealed. The Russian manufacturer is going to replace the current 110 model for the World Touring Car Championship race at Porto in Portugal later this year. The 110 model serves as base for the Priora model and a lot of components will be carried straight over from the current 110 racer.

While a lot of parts underneath are the same, the exterior of the new car is different.

The Russian manufacturer has tested the WTCC version of the Priora model in the wind tunnel and the results were encouraging.

“The drag coefficient is very low and that makes us competitive. This makes LADA one of the best cars in its class,” said Vladislav Nezvankin, director of Lada Sport.

All three cars are going to be replaced for the seventh WTCC race of 2009 in Portugal on the 5th of July.
