Volkswagen completes Nürburgring test

The all new Volkswagen Team Biogas.se has completed two days of testing at the legendary track Nürburgring in Germany. Drivers Fredrik Ekblom and Patrik Olsson completed many laps.
“I have waited a long time to do this test! We could have gotten more laps, but initially the car feels really good,” said Ekblom.

There has been a lot of talk on the engine character of the bio gas powered turbo charged engine.

“I thought it was going to be like a diesel, but it is most certainly not,” said Ekblom.

Team boss and reigning STCC privateers champion Tobias Johansson was present at Nürburgring.

“The test has given us the data we wanted and we can move on with the preparations ahead of the premiere,” said Johansson.

The final day of testing went without trouble, but according to our information the first day of testing was halted due to a broken differential of the car.

The team is now heading home to Sweden where the first official test is going to take place at Mantorp on the 15th of April.
