Mat Jackson voted Best Privateer of 2008
Even though he has not confirmed his return to the 2009 HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship, Mat Jackson was voted Best Privateer of 2008 by the readers of TouringCarTimes.
“I am delighted to receive this award on behalf of all of TouringCarTimes readers, it is a great honor! I hope that I can be back, plans for the 2009 season are still ongoing,” said Jackson.
Jackson finished an impressive second in the British Touring Car Championship 2008, driving for BMW Dealer Team UK.
Jackson had an impressive season. He won five races, was second five times, took four fastest laps and finished in the points in 25 out of 30 races.
Jackson won the award with 41,6% of the votes, 7,3% more than WTCC-independents champion Sergio Hernandez.
