Aon to sponsor Arena Ford Focus

The Ford Focus of Arena Motorsport completed a couple of laps at Brands Hatch today. The test was meant to be longer, but was halted due to engine trouble. Visible on the car was their main sponsor for this year – Aon.
“It’s great for Aon to step into the motorsports arena and work with such a top tier team,” said Phil Clement of Aon.

“We look forward to the new and exciting opportunities this sponsorship will provide.”

Aon is a company providing risk management and human capital consulting. Team boss Mike Earle is pleased with the co-operation.

“We are delighted to be associated with as prestigious a corporation as Aon. They are an acknowledged leader in their field and we will strive to maintain the leadership of both companies in the championship. Aon is a great and exciting addition to the BTCC,” said Earle.

Tom Chilton completed three laps at Brands Hatch earlier today. On the end of lap three the engine started to sound rough. Chilton pitted and the test day was over. Reports say that the problem was not too serious.

The next run for the Focus is going to be abroad. The team heads to Portugal later this week for an intense test program.

A second car is being worked on at the moment. But the identity of Chilton’s team mate has not been revealed yet.
