Team Kiwi Racing ready for 2009

Team Kiwi Racing have finalised a deal for the 2009 season that will see the Kiwi team take delivery of their third Paul Morris Motorsport (PMM) car prior to the opening round of the Australian V8 Supercar Championship in Adelaide for the Adelaide Clipsal 500.

Team Kiwi Boss David John recently confirmed that TKR will be on the grid at opening round of the 2009 Australian V8 Supercar Championship in Adelaide at the Clipsal 500 with an ALL Black ex PMM Holden Commodore.

John is excited about the future of TKR stating that he will be using the next 12 months to rebuild TKR into a top level team.

“This year we celebrate our 10th Anniversary.”

“For the last few years we have struggled both on and off the track but the change back to familiar surrounding is one we are looking forward to.

“We have worked well with PMM previously in 2004/05 and 2005/06, purchased two new cars from them prior to this one and know that they produce a solid race package with good back-up support”. Said Team Owner David John

Team Kiwi Racing will retain their NZ base and Head Office but will also share the facilities at The Driving Centre in Queensland.

TKR purchased their first car from PMM in 2004 which Craig Baird put on pole position at Winton for TKR and the second PMM built car was purchased brand new for Paul Radisich when he joined TKR which he put on the podium in China and was subsequently written of at Bathurst in 2006.

TKR will retain their Ford Falcon from last year as a spare in case of an emergency..

Driver to be announced at a later date along with new livery and new sponsor announcements
