George at hospital after violent crash

John George suffered a huge crash during the final race of the British Touring Car Championship at Brands Hatch. George got tapped in to the barriers by Darren Turner. As he hit the barriers his Honda got in to a high speed roll, sending parts flying all over the track.

George was able to pull him self out of the car, but the medical staff brought him to a local hospital. The TH Motorsport/JAG-driver will remain under observation at the hospital.

TH Motorsport team boss Trevor Humphrey told Autosport.com:

“John’s been taken to hospital with a suspected broken sternum. That’s what the doctors told us.

“If anything, it’s a testament to the safety of the cars that he hasn’t been hurt worse than that. Also, the TOCA medical crew is absolutely top-notch, so a big thank you to them for seeing to him so quickly.”
