One target for Adam Jones in 2008
Following on from his recent success at Rockingham this weekend will see Adam Jones continuing his campaign to become the Independent champion in the HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship as the series moves on to round 3 at Donington Park this coming weekend.
After arriving for round 1 at Brands Hatch having never seen his car before and to have then left the circuit with 2 points finishes was quite an achievement and then to have gone on to round 2 at Rockingham and to score a 3rd 4th and 8th place shows the determination and commitment that Adam and the Team have as this sees them now in 2nd place just 11 points behind the leader.
“From the start I knew that this year’s championship would not be easy as the line-up is very strong but I and everyone at Team Air Cool are determined to give it our all. The tremendous support I have received from Air Cool Engineering and Bodywork (Solihull) along with several other local firms has enabled me to enter the championship in an extremely competitive car which we are developing further between each race and will make us a serious contender for this year’s title. It must have come as quite a surprise to some of the other contenders to realise the commitment we have as a Team and with new sponsors coming on board we intend to push even harder and close the gap on the Championship leader”.
Donington Park has been a good track for Adam in the past and the team is confident that they can produce the results required to improve their position in the title race.
The Seat Leon driven by Adam is prepared by Paul Ridgeway and his Team of engineers at GR-Asia who having competed for several years in the World Touring Car Championship with Seats have a vast knowledge on the preparation and set-up required to take Adam to the top.
