No Team 48 at Rockingham
Team 48, who missed the season opener at Brands Hatch due to lack of preparation time and missing their second Alfa Romeo 156, have announced they will also miss Rockingham. Luther Blissett (Team 48’s principle) has claimed that there is still work to be done before Team 48 will be ready to race. Team 48 hope to take to the track and race at Donington which takes place on May 3rd.
This is a further blow to drivers Darelle Wilson and Matthew Gore, who have yet to participate in a BTCC race and hence could not be included in our recent rookie analysis.
“Whilst we are pleased on the progress made since the opening race weekend, we are mindful of the fact that there are still issues that need fine tuning before we take to the track,” said Luther Blissett to Autosport.
“Throughout my career as a professional footballer, the requirement for attention to detail remained of paramount importance. It’s customary that, without taking care of the small things in life, the big things will never happen.
“Preparation is key and applies to any sport, particularly when it comes to a competition like the BTCC.”
