Johansson continues with his Mercedes

As we have reported on TouringCarTimes before – Tobias Johansson will be in the Swedish Touring Car Championship 2008 with his Mercedes C-Class. Earlier plans to buy a Vauxhall Vectra were scrapped.
“This is the way it turned out and I have a Mercedes left in my garage. I think the solution is good if you take the conditions in to consideration,” said Johansson to dalademokraten.se.

Johansson’s Mercedes is now four years old and he is allowed to compete in the privateers championship.

“The privateers cup is a bonus, my ambition is still to mess with the rest of the STCC teams,” said Johansson.

One of his long time sponsors, Bosch, left the team for this season which made it difficult for him to buy a new car. But for this year Miele steps in to his team.

“It feels really good and I hope for a long term co-operation,” said Johansson.
