Thompson to do selected DTC-rounds

World Touring Car Championship-driver James Thompson will drive selected rounds in the Danish Touring Car Championship this year. The Brit will drive for Hartmann Honda Racing in six races that does not interfere with the WTCC.
“I am not coming to Denmark for fun. The Hartman-team seems very enthusiastic and I cannot see any reasons that we should not be able to win races and be on the podium,” said Thompson.

The WTCC Honda-team N-Technology recently announced that they will miss the WTCC race in Mexico next week. The team will instead make its WTCC-debut in Valencia and the races in Denmark will further add to the preparations.

Hartmann Honda Racing are proud over having Thompson reinforcing their team in the Danish championship.
“I am very happy and proud that we have managed to secure Thompson to drive the DTC races that does not collide with WTCC. James is a very serious and good driver,” said team manager Hans Hartmann.

The team will also get extra technical support. Thompson’s engineer Marco Calovolo will be present at the races and the team will also get support from Mauro Festa of JAS Motorsport.

Thompson will drive his Honda Accord along side regular Hartmann-driver Jens Møller who also will be behind the wheel of a Honda Accord.
