STCC 2007 entry list released

The official entry list for the Swedish Touring Car Championship 2007 is released. The list features 24 drivers from four different countries, Sweden, Norway, Germany and Russia. Nine manufacturers are represented with one car or more – Audi, Alfa Romeo, BMW, Chevrolet, Honda, Mercedes, Peugeot, Opel, and Volvo.

The news for this season are the following:

Nicklas Karlsson returns to STCC with a new manufacturer – Chevrolet.
Tommy Rustad returns with Opel.
Frank Stippler joins Audi from DTM.
The Russian Andrey Smetsky will drive at least two races, the premiere and the Anderstorp race in a Honda Accord.
Joakim Frid will drive am ex-Rustad Opel Astra in the privateers cup.
Ronnie Brandt will drive a Volvo S60 in the privateers cup.
Viktor Huggare joins the privateers cup in a BMW.
Roger Eriksson and Fredrik Lestrup will drive BMW’s for Picko Troberg.
David Björk leaves PTR and starts Team Cawalli–Bilsport&MC with the same BMW he drove last year.
