Benjamin Lessennes joins the field for Spa-Francorchamps

17-year-old Belgian Benjamin Lessennes will join the grid at the next round of the TCR International Series, with Boutsen Ginion Racing running a Honda Civic TCR for him at the event.

Lessennes already has a year with the car under his belt after racing with the team last year. Lessennes had a strong weekend in the opening round of the TCR Benelux series last weekend at Spa, with a pair of podium finishes putting him in a strong position in the standings.

“This is a real opportunity to see where I am facing the elite of the TCR International Series,” said Lessennes. “The challenge is great, but I hope that I will be at their level and achieve a good result during this prestigious race meeting

Boutsen Ginion Racing team manager Olivier Lainé added: “Benjamin is racing with us since last year and the TCR International Series meeting at Spa will be an interesting experience for him. Additional experience is always good for a young driver like him and it will also be good for our team to discover the level of International Series.”
