Cart In Club Driving Academy announce Joonas Lappalainen in an Audi RS 3 LMS

Team Cart In Club Driving Academy has announced Finnish driver Joonas Lappalainen for an Audi RS 3 LMS in selected rounds of the 2017 Scandinavian Touring Car Championship.

The 18-year-old is the reigning Audi Sport TT Cup champion, as well as the 2014 Formula Renault 1.6 Sweden champion.

”I have so far only driven the car for a couple of laps and I know that a lot of my competitors have tested a lot more. We will see where we stand, but we are going to work hard and I can’t see any reason why we should not win races,” said Lappalainen.

Lappalainen is not going to take part in the season opener and the team has not stated how many races he will take part in total.

”The season start collides with another commitment I have. I can’t tell you what it is right now,” said Lappalainen.
