TCR to run Balance of Performance test at Adria
The TCR organisation will conduct the yearly Balance of Performance test at Adria in Italy next week.
Cars from ten brands will be present:
– Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR
– Audi RS 3 LMS
– Ford Focus TCR
– Honda Civic TCR
– Kia Cee’d TCR
– Opel Astra TCR
– Peugeot 308 Racing Cup
– SEAT León TCR
– Subaru WRX STi TCR
– Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR
The cars from VAG; Audi, SEAT and Volkswagen, will be at the test in pairs, with the DSG and sequential gearboxes.
The drivers will be experienced touring car racers Nicola Larini and Andrea Belicchi.
“We have confirmed Nicola for the third consecutive year, as his vast experience and speed have already proved instrumental in supplying our technicians with all the information they need,” said series promoter Marcello Lotti. “This year we have added another touring car expert in Belicchi, because we have so many cars that it would be an impossible task for only one man to test them all.”
All ten cars will head to the Pininfarina wind tunnel after the track test to measure drag and lift coefficients.
The combined results from the track test and wind tunnel test will be used to set a balance of performance for all cars ahead of the 2017 season start for the national and international TCR championships.
