Team Engstler confirm two-car programme in TCR Asia

2016 champions Team Engstler will once again be part of the TCR Asia teams, as the German outfit signed two drivers for their two-car assault.

Ecuadorian Diego Moran will be joined by Thai driver Kantadhee Kusiri for the full season.

“We were sure from the very beginning we would sign up for another TCR Asia season”, said sports and marketing director Kurt Treml. 

“The series has been an integral part of our motorsport programme for many years. TCR Asia is a good marketing platform for our sponsors, and many of Asia’s best touring car drivers take part in the championship.”

Kusiri is a former Euro F3 Open driver, having had good results in touring cars back in Thailand before his switch to single seaters. Moran is a former Colombian Road Racing Championship winner, having clinched the title in the Super Touring 2000 class in 2015 before moving to Shanghai for professional reasons.

TCR Asia will kick off at Sepang, Malaysia, on March 12th.
