Mat’o Homola and Filip Sládecka join Engstler for Dubai

Mat’o Homola and Filip Sládecka make it five Team Engstler cars in the TCR Middle East Series season start later this week in Dubai.

“I’m glad that the TCR family grows with a new championship, which for me is an opportunity to stay in shape and prepare for the upcoming season in the International Series,” said Homola.

The duo are going to drive two Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR race cars in Dubai, marking the debut for both of them in the German car.

“I am looking forward to racing in the Volkswagen Golf that is new to me, even though it has many points in common with the SEAT I drove last year. I tried the Dubai circuit on the simulator and I really like it, as it is full of long fast corners that suit my driving style,” said Homola.

Homola finished fifth overall in last year’s TCR International Series with one victory for B3 Racing, while Sladecka drove a BMW M6 GT3 in the Central European Zone D4 Championship, having previously raced in the European Touring Car Cup.

The other Team Engstler drivers in Dubai are Luca Engstler, Stefan Goede and Brandon Gdovic.
