Ollie Jackson hit with £1,000 fine amid raft of Snetterton penalties
AmD Tuning’s Ollie Jackson has been hit with a £1,000 fine for his part in an incident with Dan Welch at Snetterton in race two today, one of six drivers to pick up penalties over the course of the weekend.
Jackson was also given three penalty points and a five-place grid penalty for the accident, which left both his Audi S3 and Welch’s Proton Gen-2 with significant damage.
AmD have appealed the sanction and their case will be heard before the next meeting at Knockhill.
In race one, Eurotech Racing’s Martin Depper was given a verbal warning for an incident with his team-mate Jeff Smith, while Speedworks Motorsport’s Matt Simpson was given two penalty points and a reprimand for an incident with Team Hard’s Michael Epps.
In race two, Ciceley Racing’s Adam Morgan was given a verbal warning for contact with Team Dynamics’ Gordon Shedden, while both Warren Scott and Andrew Jordan were given reprimands after a clash between the pair.
Team BMR’s Scott was reprimanded for contact with Motorbase Performance’s Jordan, while the 2013 champion’s reprimand was for a hand gesture made at Scott on the slowing down lap.
Despite an incident-packed race three, no penalties were handed out after the action.
