Guillaume Mondron wins Spa Race 2 for Delahaye SEAT
Guillaume Mondron won the second race of the day in the TCR Benelux series ahead of World Touring Car Championship stars Tiago Monteiro and Tom Coronel.
The Belgian driver won the race by less than a second ahead of Race 1 winner Monteiro in the Delahaye Racing SEAT León TCR after finishing second in Race 2, while Dutch driver Tom Coronel drove through the field to finish third for Bas Koeten Racing in the #11 SEAT León TCR, just behind the leading pair.
Mondron’s Delahaye Racing team-mate Romain de Leval finished off the podium in fourth, two seconds behind in the Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR.
Just ten cars made the finish with the Delahaye Racing Volkswagen Golf of Didier van Dalen failing to finish, as did the second Boutsen Ginion Racing Honda Civic of Benjamin Lessennes.
Race 3 follows at 17:10 CET with the first nominated drivers taking over the cars.
