Sébastien Loeb Racing will also run Peugeots at the Nordschleife
Sébastien Loeb Racing will also run a pair of Peugeot 308 Racing Cup cars at the famous Nürburgring Nordschliefe in May, once in the VLN endurance series, and also in the joint WTCC/ETCC race as part of the Nürburgring 24 Hours weekend.
The new 1.6 litre car will be run in the ETCC’s TCN2 class in the race, which will see the WTCC and ETCC cars compete together at the legendary circuit for the first time, with the ETCC field released shortly after the WTCC race gets underway.
The car’s first outing will take place in the TCR International Series earlier in May at the also iconic Spa-Francorchamps circuit.
The car has been developed by Peugeot Sport, but manufacturers aren’t permitted to run cars in TCR, with the French marque entrusting the car to their WTCC privateer squad for the three meetings.
The drivers of the two cars has not yet been confirmed.
