Honda and Lada gain weight for Hungaroring
Honda and Lada have gained weight for this weekend’s FIA World Touring Car Championship races as the compensation weight calculation comes into force.
Honda gain 70kg and Lada gain 50kg while Citroën remain on the maximum weight of 80kg.
The Volvos of Polestar Cyan Racing remains on 0kg of compensation weight, as well as the privateer Chevrolet Cruze race cars.
The calculation is based on the average lap times from the first two races in France and Slovaka where the Citroën cars were fastest, but the Honda Civic cars were on average just 0.1 seconds behind.
The Lada was 0.3 seconds behind on average while the new Volvo S60 Polestar TC1 was 0.9 seconds behind and the Chevrolet RML Cruze TC1 1.2 seconds behind the Citroëns.
