Austrian driver Wolfgang Kriegl confirmed as new sub for Andreas Pfister

38-year-old Wolfgang Kriegl will drive Andreas Pfister’s SEAT León Cup Racer this weekend in the European Touring Car Cup races at the Slovakiaring, taking over from Pierre Humbert who raced in France, with team owner/driver Pfister sidelined for the first half of the ETCC season.

Kriegl, who has driven in the Pfister Racing-run Chevrolet Cruze Cup previously, will make his ETCC debut with the SEAT León, which is still run in 2015 specification against the newer 2016 spec León TCRs and the Honda Civic TCRs of Rikli Motorsport.

“He is an ambitious driver and really kind person, so I’m very proud that we can offer the chance for him to take this drive in FIA ETCC at Slovakia Ring,” said Andreas Pfister. “For sure he will have to learn, but he knows the track and we will support him as much as we can.”
