Two Bahraini drivers added to season opener entry

Salman Al Khalifa and Hussain Karimi will contest the Bahrain round of the TCR International Series, driving a pair of SEAT León Cup Racers fun by Bas Koeten Motorsport.

The Leóns will run in 2015 specification, without the upgrades which the six full season entries of Craft-Bamboo and B3 Racing are running.

Al Khalifa and Karimi are currently first and third in the standings of the Bahrain International Circuit 2000cc Challenge, with Khalifa also a former Formula BMW Asia and Porsche Carrera Cup GT3 Middle East champion.

“we give a very warm welcome to Sheikh Salman Al Khalifa and Hussain Karimi, the first Middle East drivers to join TCR,” said promoter Marcello Lotti. “The concept we have launched last year is spreading quickly and we are now looking at the Middle East for further expansion.”
