Mladen Lalusic to compete for full ETCC campaign with Lein Racing
Serbia’s Mladen Lalusic will take part in the full 2016 European Touring Car Cup season in the TCN2 class with Lein Racing’s SEAT León Cup Racer, with team manager Milovan Vesnic taking part in a partial campaign following an upgrade later in the year.
The team will run a pair of 2016 specification SEAT León Cup Racers this year, with Lalusic returning after taking part in three rounds of last year’s Cup, while Vesnic is returning to the Cup after last competing with a BMW 320si in 2014, taking over from Montenegro’s Dejan Bulatovic.
“We hope that this will be a new beginning for Lein Racing,” said Vesnic.”We’re creating a new, entirely Serbian touring car team, starting from logistics, through mechanics to driving crew. A big job is in front of us, but we hope that we will create an enviable reputation on the European motorsport scene.”
Laluslic’s target is to finish in the top three in the new combined TCN2/TC2T/TC2 class for 2016, after scoring a consistent run of six points finishes in all his appearances last year.
“Three years of international experience are behind me,” said Lalusic. “Starting from Kia Cup, SEAT Eurocup, vice-champion title in the FIA CEZ with the Clio and last year’s three appearances in the ETCC 2015. I believe that with the help of Vesnic we will reach our first podiums in the ETCC. I am ready and motivated more than ever and looking forward to the start of the season.”
