TCR bans driving aids and increases BoP weight
The TCR International Series regulations have been changed for 2016 where electrical driving aids such as ABS, stability and traction control have been banned and the balance of performance (BoP) weight has been increased by 30 kilos.
The minimum weight of the cars has been reduced from 1260 kilos to 1250 kilos and the range of BOP has been increased to +70 kilos to -20 kilos compared to +40 kilos to -20 kilos last year.
A new introduction for 2016 is the ”Car Model of the Year” title where the best two cars of each model will receive points in each qualifying session and race.
The race and qualifying format remains the same as in 2015 while the races held with Formula One can be subject to adjustments.
