Krenek Motorsport confirms two drivers for 2016 ETCC

Krenek Motorsport has confirmed Petr Fulín and Christ-Johannes Schreiber for the 2016 European Touring Car Cup.

”Christ-Johannes is known to me since he started in the Clio Cup Bohemia and I am very happy to have him in my team. He has developed very well over the last years. In the Clio Cup field he belongs to the best. I am sure that with Petr Fulin and him we will have a very strong drivers’ pair,” said team manager Josef Krenek.

The team will run two SEAT León Cup Racers in the TCN2 class, which replaces the Single-Make Trophy for 2016. TCN2 cars will compete against Super 2000 TC2T and TC2 cars in a single category from next year.

Fulín secured the 2015 ETCC runner-up spot for the team while Schreiber will make his ETCC debut next year.

“I have had great fun in single makes motorsport and have experienced a great sport. At the end of this season in the Clio Cup, I felt that I should move on to further develop. I am ready to take up a new challenge,” said Schreiber.

The 2016 ETCC season starts on April 3rd at Paul Ricard, France, together with the WTCC.
