Update: Tiago Monteiro excluded from race two
Castrol Honda Racing’s Tiago Monteiro has been excluded from race two in Thailand due to a failing a post-race ride height check.
The Portuguese driver had won his third race of the season, but victory now goes to Citroën Racing’s Sébastien Loeb, which means the French manufacturer scored a 1-2-3 with Ma Qing Hua and José María López completing the podium.
A statement from the stewards read:
”Car 18 failed the ground clearance check. The left hand side of the car was found to be below the required minimum 60mm ground clearance.”
The decision also means that Loeb, thanks to inheriting the victory, moves to second in the championship past Citroën team mate Yvan Muller.
