Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR announced in Macau entry list

The Alfa Romeo Giulietta TCR features in the announced entry list for this season’s finale at the Guia Race of Macau.

The car is being built by Italian powerhouse Romeo Ferraris, which will present the car at Macau after months of development.

With no 2.0 engine available in the FIAT family, the car is understood to feature a turbocharged 1.8 power unit and a racing gearbox. The team’s experience in various touring car championships, the last international outing being the Superstars Series with the semi-works Mercedes team, means Romeo Ferraris are likely to build a number of cars in order to sell them, in addition to running the car themselves.

Although the name of the driver featured in the entry list is Mario Ferraris, TouringCarTimes understands he will not actually be behind the wheel at the weekend, preferring instead to hand the drive to a more Macau-experienced driver, therefore possibly adding a new star driver to the season finale.
