Fredrik Lestrup wins at Spa as Ralf Glatzel takes Division 2 title
Already crowned overall champion Fredrik Lestrup claimed his 12th victory of 2015 in the first race of the ADAC Procar season finale at Spa-Francorchamps as Ralf Glatzel secured the Division 2 title.
Ford driver Heiko Hammel had claimed pole position for the first time this year and was involved in a close fight with Mini driver Lestrup throughout the race.
But on the last lap Hammel was forced to retire due to technical issues, meaning that LB Racing driver Johannes Leidinger inherited second place behind race winner Lestrup.
The title fight for Division 2 stood between Andreas Rinke and Glatzel, with Rinke claiming pole position for the race. But the joy was short-lived for the Citroën driver who was overtaken by Glatzel early on and later was forced to retire after a collision with Dirk Lauth. Glatzel crossed the finishing line first of the division two drivers, 12 seconds ahead of Kevin Hilgenhövel.
Division 3 was once again dominated by Steve Kirsch who claimed his 15th victory of 2015, meaning that he has won all races so far this year. Kirsch won the race close to 36 seconds ahead of Dirk Lauth.
The final ADAC Procar race of 2015 starts 11:45 CET tomorrow.
