First test for Top Run’s Subaru WRX
The newly-built Subaru WRX STi, built by Italian outfit Top Run, hit the track at the Tazio Nuvolari circuit in Cervesina, Northern Italy. The test was the first opportunity to check all the systems and basics of the car as Roberto Russo and Gian Maria Gabbiani shared track time.
Team Principal Antonio Agnello said: “It was a positive first outing that gave us the opportunity to check on some teething problems and start working on the set up. It was not easy, because we had to share the track time with other cars and bikes, which limited the number of laps we were able to complete. Everything considered, we are satisfied with the work done and we are confident in the car’s potential. Now we need to work hard and exploit it.”
The Subaru is scheduled to make its debut at Singapore on September, 20th, in the TCR International Series. In preparation for its first official outing, the car will be tested again in the coming days.
