Veloso Motorsport to join TCR in Portimao

Veloso Motorsport will join the TCR International Series in Algarve this weekend, fielding two SEAT León Racers for their home race in Portugal.

José Monroy is a former Portuguese Touring Car Championship winner, having clinched the title in 2008 behind the wheel of a Mitsubishi Lancer, and more recently competed in GTs with a Lamborghini Gallardo, as well as contenting the SEAT Eurocup.

Teenager Francisco Mora will drive the second León. Aged 18, the Portuguese is in his third season in motor sport. Last year he finished fourth in the Pro-Am Trophy of the Blancpain Sprint Series, racing in a Mercedes SLS AMG.

Testing is currently underway in Portimao.
